Dumped on again!

This is what Mike had to come home to this morning...after traveling to Portland in it last night and being up all night!! Poor guy!! The Storm Center cast on Channel 6 this morning had on black bands with big white snowflakes in "silent" protest of more snow....I'm with them...but not so silent about it!! I AM TIRED OF SNOW!!! And heaven only knows how much flooding we're looking forward to if spring ever gets here!! btw...got more snow coming Friday night!! UGH!!! Why can't it just rain hot water for a few minutes?? huh?? why???

Getting another foot of snow!!

Will this ever end?? Going to get even more on Monday! We are going to have some major flooding when this record snowfall decides to melt...maybe by JULY!! Got a nice package from Lyn yesterday! The prairie dress is adorable..can't wait to get to it!! I'm very glad you cut it out for me..that's my hardest part! But you're right...it is a little more involved than a beginner should tackle! I'm sure you could have done it...a step at a time..that's what it takes. And I got a BEAUTIFUL painting from my grandson!! What a talented young man!!! I have it hanging on my fridge next to my Spongebob valentine!! Painting is very fun and challenging...I hope you keep practicing!! And remember, everyone's "art" is different...just paint with your heart!! I would rather do people than landscapes...that's MY art. You have to explore until you find what makes you happiest! Well, my arms are still quite sore today, so I gotta go. Thinking about you Dee....you will be just fine...and so will the baby girl!! Love you all!!

Another storm today!

I wouldn't mind so much but Mike has to travel to Portland in it tonight! He's doing security for Sam's Club down there. They are doing a major renovation project! Can't wait to see all the changes they are making...just wish they didn't have to do it all night long!!! Stinks!! Hope son gets home safely from work before the snow hits up there! And remind Dee that she should pick a non-storm day to go into labor!! LOL!! Tell boy#2 in VA that if Steven could live thru the ortho...it's a piece of cake!! LOL!! Just think how nice you're gonna look playin that new piano!!! Love you all!!

Finally!!

All is well in North Anson!! Son is back at New Balance for awhile and can email me each day!!! Apparently he never checks his mail at home now!! Granddaughter is still pregnant...and seems to be doing fine. Not due til March 8?? I thought it was February!! They must have changed their minds!! Baby Alexis is growing good tho! Mike isn't home yet and I'm getting worried...I do that a lot too!! Love you all!

Well....

I still haven't heard a word from North Anson! I know the son went back to work at NB but he could take a minute to let me know how things are going! Mike got himself on the news last night. He was flagging in the Bath area, and they did a piece on the new construction going on...he looked cold but cute! Sun's shining today, I feel better!! I need sunshine on a regular basis!

Love the races!! Sorry that Newman won...but at least Jr didn't!! My Bobby came in 11th though!!! Not too bad!! I really felt bad for Jeff Burton....was hoping he'd pull off the win!! Too bad about that 24 car, huh?? I'm so glad the season has begun...I missed it!!

Busy day yesterday...

We went to NH to join Mike's family for dinner at Sharon's Seafood in Fryeburg, Me....it was ok. I would rather have been at Den's house! I tried sooooo hard to fix myself up nice...dressed nice, fixed my hair, makeup...which took a toll on the arms!! Mike's mom took one look at me and said, "Do you feel well? You look dreadfully pale!"!!!!!!! UGH!! Last time I saw her she complained that I didn't have any makeup on...but no matter what...I just can't win!! And of course the "Martha-wannabe" sister was there in her glory!! double UGH!! The thing is....felt bad even before we left....all the way down I usually enjoy looking at homes and scenery....all I could see was road and ten foot snowbanks!!! And I had to go soooooooo badly!! Very uncomfortable for most of the trip...finally stopped at the State Line Store! PHEW!! Didn't think I was gonna make it!! They have as much snow in Conway as we do here...lots and lots of it!!! Mt Washington was beautifully covered...wish I had taken my camera. But sooooo much snow!! Ayuh, ain't seen a winter like this in many a year!!

Welcome to my world!

Don't you wanna be here??? This is two days AFTER the storm!! And it snowed some last night, as you can see...and going to snow more this afternoon! Tomorrow is supposed to just be cold..but warming up trend Sunday with possible rain Monday...so maybe it will go away. Over a thousand people in Lewiston still have no power...poor people..gonna be a cold one tonight!! The general opinion is that it's time for spring!! We will still be melting snow in July, I think!

All that ice and no Jack!!!

We got about 8 inches of snow and then it turned to sleet and rain yesterday. Yup, lost our power about 4:30 yesterday afternoon and it came back on to stay about 5 this morning! Happy Valentine's Day!! Boy, was it chilly!! The trees are still covered with ice and hoping we won't lose it again!! Sun is shining thankfully, so maybe it will come off today without taking our power with it!! Gov Baldacci has declared us an emergency...but the DOT has run out of salt..so the interstate is really slick...I pity anyone who had to travel it this morning! I hope that by now..with all the storms we've had...people KNOW how to drive on these roads in Maine!! I'm really sorry about missing Dedra's shower....but I have made her something special...hope she likes it! May be awhile before I get it up to her tho! Seems like Mike is working every weekend lately! or it storms. Got more snow coming in Monday....and running out of places to put it! Maine hasn't seen a winter like this in a long, long time! And as far as I'm concerned...never again!!! I hate snow...but I hate ice even more!!

Snowing again....

...that's the theme song for Maine this year...record breaking number of snow storms...like every other day...and personally, I'm sick of it! Makes me ache all over and making the January blahs continue thru Feb!! Now it would be nice if my son would let me know that he's safe on the roads today!! HINT,HINT!!! I do worry, ya know! I've been hearing of tornadoes in the south...and fires in the Smokey Mts....now is my daughter's family safe from all this stuff? Did you get your hot water heater fixed?? I've been printing off your blog...but ran out of magenta ink again..and have no more on hand...so as soon as it stops snowing???....I must go to Staples and get some. Should be done next week sometime....it's 467 pages...I will have to bind it into like 5 books..and will put the dates on the covers. Hope you like it. Love you all!! BTW...Dedra is having a baby shower Saturday and I can't go!! We had already promised to take Mike's mom out to lunch for her birthday!! Drat!!!

Vrooom, vrooooooom....how much I have missed that sound!! Did you all catch the Bud Shootout last night! Good race...but I hope Jr isn't going to keep this up! I really don't care for the guy! Was pulling for Tony to take it! Since my guy didn't even race!! Next time Bobby!! Hope he does well in the qualifying today!! Snowing again here...and Mike had to go to Portland in it this morning!! I worry so much!

Update on the new pills....

well...I'm tired all the time and swelling....you know how much I like swelling??? go ahead, ask me!! Don't think these pills are working out for me...but I had to do something...can't go on like this tho! So Den, did you think about the welding training yet?? Good money in it! Maybe better than the paper mill!! Anyone going over to the Armory to see Hillary tonight?? Fraid I wouldn't walk across the street to see her...don't get me going!! I like Obama..but very afraid for him...there's so much prejudice in this country!! Hillary will probably take a contract out on him! LOL!! I really hate politics, don't you!! What a waste of time and money it is!! What do you think?

Yup..he's a whole year old today!! That's his "I just won the race and am number 1" pose!! LOL!! I just can't believe it...where does the time go?? Snowing yet again..got 6 inches last night and more to come. Pills are making me very sleepy...not to mention the effects of the weather! Where is my son?? I think he has fallen off the planet or something! Does he know that Chianbro (sp) is training welders????? He should think about it..they are hiring big time right now!!

Do you hate snow as much as I do??

I don't think it's ever going to stop...not for the next few days anyway! UGH!! Had my stitches taken out this am....slid all the way there!! Toe is hurtin but healin!! Finally got my "new" antidepressants...after three calls to the drs office to get it right! Went from eighty a month to ten a month...now let's hope the work as well...I really, really need them!!! Was watching Dirty Dancing yesterday while I was painting...started weeping profusely!!! Now you know that ain't me...the movie ain't that sad afterall...not like Titanic or something!! Guess I'll stick to comedies for a while...til I get on an even keel again! Unreal!!

Isn't Winter over yet???

Well, I broke down and had my dr call in a script for my antidepressants....went to pick them up and it cost $80 for a month's worth!!!!! I can't do that...gotta eat, you know! I called the dr this morning and told him I'm tired and broke...he's just gotta do something!! I've only been getting about 2 or 3 hours sleep and I'm really tired! Speaking of eating...I treated myself to a "new" dessert the other night! I took heavy whipping cream (0 carbs) and mixed it with a boxed Dream Whip packet..like 2 carbs...and a box of sugar-free orange jello. And I actually bought a tangelo and cut it in small pieces and put them in the bottom of four cups..then put the whipped cream mixture on top!! It was soooooooooooooo good and only about 3 carbs per serving!! I hadn't realized how much I was missing the oranges!! I think next time I will just get a can of mandarins in sugar free syrup..they do have it and it's about 7 carbs a can, I think...so should average out to be about the same..maybe a little more. Waiting on dr call...gotta go.

I think I'm depressed.....

....I ran out of anti-depressants two weeks ago and really can't afford to go get some. I'm not sleeping more than 3-4 hours a night and can't seem to concentrate on anything..not even painting..which usually relaxes me. Worried about Mike traveling home from Portland tonight in the storm...sounds like another ice storm....will be glad when he gets here. He's babysitting a ship...and apparently there is one guy on board who has sworn that he will get off and go home no matter what! They are like prisoners aboard ship for up to ten months...I think I'd just jump overboard, myself!! Poor guy! Mike may have to accompany him to the hospital as he swears he's really ill and needs to go home. Immigration will be with him too, thank God!! I will be glad when Mike goes on construction and gets away from these really dangerous positions!! It's very cloudy and oppressive today...that doesn't help me any. I should have stayed in bed.
